Adult Sunday School

Join us every Sunday following Worship for our adult Sunday School.  We are currently on summer break. Classes will resume in the Fall.

United Methodist Women

United Methodist Women (UMW) is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the in global ministries of the church.

Some projects organized by UMW include:

•Salvation Army Gift Bags•Chrismon Service & Hanging of the Greens•Christmas Caroling at Grand Haven•Present Annual Mission Recognition Pin•Fall Crafter's Bazaar and Salad Luncheon                                

UMW meets the fourth Wednesday of each month, except June and July.  Meeting dates may change when in conflict with holidays.  Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. at the church.  All women are invited to participate.

 

HiSet Outreach Center

Are you or is someone you know interested in finishing school and getting a diploma?

EUMC offers a HiSet (GED) program led by retired teachers in our community.  Classes are on an as needed basis during the summer.

Age is not an issue nor is how long a person has been out of school for those interested in getting a GED.   The cost of materials and testing is free.

For more information, and If you are interested in participating in the HiSet program, call the church office (285-4314) weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Volunteers interested in helping with tutoring, donations or other types of support for this program should also call the church office.

Grief Education and Support Ministry

Are you coping with Grief over the loss of a loved one?  EUMC offers a Grief Education and Support Ministry for widows and widowers.  This ministry helps provide an understanding of grief and offers support for those dealing with a loss.  2017 sessions begin on Sept 19th and continue through December. The Missions committee provides opportunities and ways for the congregation to share their lives, their time, and their resources for others in need in our community and world.  They uncover community, state, national, and world concerns and encourage the congregation to become involved in missions and service projects.
